Where did May go?
Somehow or other, May has managed to completely fly by without even a blink of an eye... This year is certainly going by very quickly! So, what's been happening in the world of Fook in the past month?
For a start, the car port is finally finished!

Also, Martha bought a new car :)

It's a 1994 Mazda 121 Bubble, and it's a fun little car. Since getting it, I've installed central locking into it (although the rear passenger door refuses to play ball and keeps playing up), and Martha's managed to get one of the government-sponsored immobilizers put in - yay! Unfortunately, only about a week after getting it, we had it parked at the Ebbw Vale train station and it got broken into :( Nothing was taken, but the door and lock were suitably destroyed. Poor car, poor Martha :(
Targa Tasmania 2008
Targa Tasmania 2008. We went, we saw, we conquered! Well, not quite, but it almost feels like it :)

I've been back a week now, and I think I'm still living in the Targa Blues. What a superb event! This year was quite a change for me to other rallies I have been in, partially because I was with a (comparatively) low budget team, but also because I was in a classic car - a 1979 Ford Escort RS2000. It was also interesting seeing as the car was not only borrowed, but also rather hastily put together as we were a rather last minute entry.
And it's April!
Wow, more than a month has passed since the last update! It's all gone so quickly, and yet I feel that not much has actually happened...
The carport has more or less gone up:

There are still a few things to do, basically I need to put the gutter and downpipe together and put it up, and fabricate the barge capping to put on. I also need to trim the roof down a little as it's a tad too wide. But yeah, now that the roof is actually on, motivation has sort of died a little :)
A week or two ago I had a birthday too, I went out for dinner with some friends at a place called The Verve Cafe. It was a nice restaurant, noisy but great food and a good atmosphere. I also had a small BBQ at the park, and I bought myself a Playstation 2 and Singstar, so we spent most of the night attempting to sing (but all we probably achieved was to keep the neighbors up, hehe).
